The Peninsula Excelsior Hotel was built in 1974 as the Peninsula Hotel. 10 years later in 1984, the Excelsior Hotel was built and in 2000, both hotels were merged into the Peninsula Excelsior Hotel: Newly renovated, but the old tradition of impeccable hospitality remains.

The hotel features a comprehensive range of modern facilities such as business centre, gym, sauna, 2 swimming pools.

Food & beverage

Step into a place where the food is always piping hot and sumptuous around the clock and the people are even warmer. It is no coincidence that the hotel and cafe are built on the former residence of meticulous pioneer and town planner George Coleman. Nothing in this kitchen is left to chance and dishes are lovingly prepared and served with a smile.

Open daily from 08:00 to 23:00. Here, you can relax on a lazy afternoon with some snacks, cakes and drinks in the lobby. You can also cool down with a beer or two during the happy hours of 17:00 to 21:00 or simply enjoy the hotel's drink of the month.

The two towers of the Peninsula Excelsior Hotel offer 577 tastefully decorated rooms above 100 vibrant shopping units, with a bird's eye view of the harbour.

Its Location.

They had not received any details about my booking from yourselves. We
had to wait a long time at reception to get a room. Lucky they were not
fully booked out.

Great choice of two pools depending on the time of day. Clean rooms, as
well as prompt and friendly housekeeping. Very good location, close to
Clarke Quay which is brilliant for dinner (may I suggest an Italian
boutique restaurant called Ricciotti on the far side of the water).
Great views from our room in the Peninsula Tower.

There were renovations of which we were unaware. Reception staff were
very dismissive and inattentive. Upon arrival, it took 5mins before our
presence was acknowledged and we were checked in, yet there were 7 staff
behind the desk. We were told our room wasn't ready and that we needed
to come back in a hour. Not happy.

Quick visit to Electronics shops closed by to the hotel

I have stayed in Singapore time to time but this is the first time in this hotel and I found it is really over priced.

It's location.

The hotel told us it would cost $15 to get to the airport by taxi .for our departure. In fact it cost more than twice that, We were lucky we had enough of the local money. The bathroom was a little tired.

We were told that we had been upgraded. Our room was tiny and we could not pass each other without turning sideways. Our bathroom was bigger !!! There was no room to eat or move around. It was claustrophic. The food was terrible; breakfast was expensive, little variety and cold.
