Room information

Shophouses along Malay and Malabar Streets were synonymous with merchants in the 1920’s and its early residents were the Peranakans, whose heritage dates back to as early as the 17th century.

Their art and tapestry greatly influenced the décor and feel of the hotel’s 328 guestrooms and suites, and 75 units of Shophouses, which overlook Singapore’s first fully air-conditioned street and covered five-foot walkways.

Area information

The hotel is situated next to Bugis Shopping Mall, near to Little India and Arab Street. Funan IT mall and Sim Lim Square are just a few roads across from the hotel, ideal for technology shopping.

Orchard Road shopping and entertainment district and the Chinatown Heritage Centre are all within walking distance. The Sentosa Island resort community is a short drive away.

Beds are comfortable, quiet room, location. The hotel facilities and helpful hotel staff was good.

The breakfast is very expensive. When they bring you to the room the breakfast is very very poor, the pizza of Italian restaurant was like fast food one.

I liked the location, the type of room ( we stayed in Shophouse, which was large enough to put 3 beds for 5 of us). the twin bed is big, the atmosphere of the whole hotel was cozy. Wish the price could be even lower.

The bellboys should be more friendly and should smile more.

cooperation of the staff.

Food was my major problem, they don't have International selections. No Free Internet at Room !!! No Arabic TV Channel

The peaceful feeling and spacious room.

Front desk staff not paying attention to the reseravtion and provide wrong type of room. Wrong information provided on the complementary breakfast.

The attentive & friendly staff

Diff. overzealous staff asking residents using the Club lounge repeatedly for their room numbers - should develop a system where the staff knows that the room no. has been taken (eg. a card on the table)
